Embark on an exciting journey from Piano Provenzana, nestled at a lofty 1,800 metres on the northern flank of Mount Etna. Traverse the rugged terrain in special 4x4 off-road vehicles, expertly guided by professional Alpine guides authorised by the Etna Park Authority. Your first stop is the “Umberto and Margherita” craters, perched at approximately 2,380 metres. Here, you can take a brief trek along the rim of these two enormous extinct craters.

Next, venture towards the volcanological observatory, situated at an altitude of 2,818 metres. After disembarking from the vehicles, a short but invigorating 15-minute trek commences. This will lead you to the summit of the Pizzi Deneri promontory, standing tall at 2,850 meters. If the weather permits, you'll be awestruck by panoramic views of the Aeolian Islands, the Jonic coast stretching from Syracuse to Taormina, the gulf of Giardini Naxos and the Calabrian coast.

Finally, return to Piano Provenzana, completing your thrilling expedition. This tour offers the chance to experience the raw power and majesty of Mount Etna – a remarkable testament to Mother Nature's grandeur.
