Um pouco da história
Se você quer fugir da agitação de uma capital jovem e dinâmica como Berlim, não perca uma viagem por seus belos arredores. O local mais famoso é, sem dúvida, Potsdam. Chamada de "Versalhes da Alemanha", é uma cidade imediatamente a sudoeste de Berlim. Declarada Patrimônio da Humanidade pela UNESCO em 1990, é conhecida pelo grande número de palácios e parques que foram usados como residências pelos reis da Prússia.
O "rei soldado" Friedrich Wilhelm transformou esta pequena cidade em um quartel para os prussianos na segunda metade de 1600. Seu filho, Frederico, o Grande, escolheu Potsdam como a única residência real e encomendou várias obras para adornar a cidade. Dentre elas, o Palácio de Sanssouci, que ainda é uma das principais atrações de Potsdam.
