Atlantis Aquarium Madrid is a unique, interactive educational leisure concept for all ages. It is located in the Xanadú shopping and leisure center, just 10 minutes from Madrid. Its main objective is to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable development by educating visitors on aquatic ecosystems, thereby promoting biodiversity conservation and combatting climate change.
The Atlantis Aquarium spans 4,645 square meters and combines a traditional aquarium format with numerous interactive and educational activities through its cutting-edge facilities. It features 20 aquariums housing approximately 10,000 specimens from 150 species, such as the loggerhead turtle, gentoo penguin, gray reef shark, tropical fish, corals, and jellyfish. Each ecosystem—from mangroves and coral reefs to the ocean depths and Antarctica—is enhanced with various interactive stations where visitors can learn about sustainable water use, measure the speed or weight of some marine species, or stroll along an interactive beach.
