The inside story
In 2018, a ten-year extension and renovation programme at Muscat International Airport was completed. The new terminal gets rave reviews for its modern, airy and spacious interiors. Stylish design meets functionality and passengers generally find the airport experience very positive. Muscat airport is the biggest in Oman and serves intercontinental and regional flights.
The large, open concourse features a variety of stores, plus several designer concessions. If you fancy a bite to eat while you wait, take your pick from fast food outlets and coffee bars to a choice of restaurants serving a full a la carte menu. Families with young children are well catered for by a free stroller service available in departures on a first come first served basis.
