After leaving Syracuse, you'll head towards Etna for a scenic trek along the southern side of Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano. As you ascend, the guide will share intriguing facts about Etna and its recent eruptions, offering a deeper understanding of this natural wonder.
Upon reaching the Rifugio Sapienza area at 2,000 metres above sea level, you'll have the choice to explore the Old Craters with the guide or opt for a higher altitude experience at an additional cost to be paid directly on-site. The higher altitude experience will allow you to reach the summit area of the volcano with special transportation and accompanied by a local alpinist guide.
The tour then takes you to one of the area's most distinctive lava flow caves, providing a unique glimpse into the volcano's geological features.
