Alimentadas por el río Tempisque, las fértiles tierras del Parque Nacional Palo Verde brindan refugio a una alucinante variedad de aves exóticas y otros animales salvajes. Este recorrido le brinda acceso exclusivo a la reserva, mundialmente reconocida por su biodiversidad y belleza natural. José, uno de nuestros guías locales expertos, dice: "Palo Verde es el hogar de alrededor de 280 especies diferentes de aves, pero las más comunes son las aves acuáticas y las aves del bosque; se estima que viven allí 50.000 de ellas".

Tu aventura comienza con un crucero por el Tempisque. Y ser el único barco en el río a esta hora del día significa que lo tendrás todo para ti. ¿Qué mejor manera de acercarse a los animales salvajes en su hábitat natural? Disfrutará de vistas despejadas de una multitud de aves anidando (hay una gran cantidad de especies de garzas), monos aulladores, iguanas e incluso cocodrilos tomando el sol en las orillas del río.

A continuación, serás testigo y participarás en un 'trapiche', el método centenario de procesamiento de la caña de azúcar. Aprenda a preparar sus propios bocadillos locales, como la tortilla, acompañados de una taza del mundialmente famoso café costarricense. Luego, nos dirigiremos a la Casa de Sabaneros para probar la cultura vaquera. Gracias a su piel bronceada y sus sombreros de ala ancha, los sabaneros, también conocidos como los 'vaqueros de Guanacaste', evocan el Viejo Oeste. Conocerás a la comunidad ganadera y aprenderás todo lo que hay que saber sobre la equitación. Es más, tu visita contribuye directamente al mantenimiento del rancho.

This boat trip on the River Tempisque gives you a taster of the vast Palo Verde National Park. You'll have the chance to discover its biodiverse habitats and observe animals such as crocodiles and monkeys.Palo Verde is on such a scale that it covers terrains as diverse as swamps, savannahs and rainforests. The river stretches for 144km through the park and is by far the longest in Costa Rica. As you cruise along its waters, your guide will point out wildlife including white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, snakes, iguanas and bats.
