- Pregnancy requirementsWomen less than five months pregnant may only participate in the Manatee Encounter, accompanied by another paid adult, after signing the liability waiver
- Age and height requirementsChildren 1.20m to 1.39m tall must be accompanied by an adult for interactionsChildren 1.40m and taller can participate alone in manatee interactions.Infants 1 to 5 years old are free when accompanied by a paid adult.Minors are considered ages 6 to 12 years. Adults from 13 years onwards.
- Safety and restrictionsSunscreen and tanning lotions are not allowedJewelry or accessories that can easily come off are not permitted during the interaction.Electronic devices are not allowed.
- Additional costs and recommendationsAccording to Article 60 of the Quintana Roo Tax Law, a state tax (ISEPAAA) of MX$50 per person (from 6 years old) must be paid for activities with aquatic animals at registrationWe recommend bringing cash to purchase photos and souvenirs, as well as an extra change of clothes
