You will have a beautiful view point of the city from the Citadel and continue to visit King Abdullah Mosque; it is one of the most famous and most recognizable structures in Amman. It can house up to 3000 worshippers. The cavernous, octagonal prayer hall is capped by a magnificent blue dome 35 meters in diameter, decorated with “Qur'anic” inscriptions. To complete your Islamic tour, visit the “Sahaba Shrines” meaning (Maqamat) in Arabic, this visit is a must. “Sahaba” is the Arabic word for the companions of the Prophet Mohammad. Start by visiting the “Shrine of Abu Ubaydah Amir ibn Al Jarrah”, and then proceed to visit the “Shrines of Muadh ibn Jabal, Shurhabil ibn Hasana, Amr ibn Abi Waqqas, and Dhiraar bin Al-Azwar”.
