In this hour-long central London workshop, you’ll be guided in the art of scone-making by an expert, giving you the skills to recreate your crumbly teatime treats at home. Local guide, Thomas, explains, “Every country has its defining foods, and it doesn’t get more quintessentially English than the humble scone. This class will teach you how to get a rise and shine on your scones that screams ‘Afternoon tea perfection’!”
You’ll pop on an apron and roll your sleeves up as you get hands-on learning the steps to making these classic bakes. Best of all, there’s a cup of traditional English tea to sip on as you mix, knead and shape your scones. As they bake, there’s time to dust the flour from your hair and top up your tea before tucking into your warm, crumbly creation.
You’ll make your own batch of four scones, so after your taste test at the workshop, there’s plenty to take home and show off to family and friends – or keep for yourself if they’re too good to share. You’ll also leave with a personalised scone workshop certificate to proudly proclaim your new baking prowess. All that’s left is to set up your next afternoon tea party and test out your new scone-making skills.
