Sukiennice is a symbol of the Krakow's Main Market Square. A beautiful and unique building hides astonishing treasures inside.
The Gallery of 19th-Century Polish Art contains the greatest permanent exhibit of the 19th-century Polish paintings and sculptures, in four grand rooms:
- Bacciarelli Room - The Enlightenment,
- Michałowski's Room: Romanticism,
- Siemiradzki's Room: Around the academy,
- Chełmoński Hall: Realism.
The majority of today’s collection at Sukiennice comprises gifts from collectors, artists and their families. After the visit, you can relax at the cafeteria and enjoy one of the most spectacular Main Square views.
